Rice paper provides the natural fiber texture your customer touches. Combined with a PLA (polylactic acid) or cellophane inner layer, the entire structure is fully compostable — a working replacement for conventional plastic bags on coffee, tea, snacks, and dry goods.
Important: the compostable claim only holds with the PLA or cellophane liner. A standard plastic liner under rice paper is not compostable.

What Rice Paper Bags Are NOT
Before you order, know the trade-offs:
- NOTplastic-free by default. Rice paper is the outer layer of a laminate. The certified compostable build (PLA or cellophane liner, EN 13432 / ASTM D6400) is a specific spec — if you need the claim on your pack, say so up front, because a standard plastic liner under rice paper is not compostable.
- NOTa full barrier with a window. A clear window helps sell the product but slightly reduces moisture and oxygen protection where the film is cut. Coffee with a valve is fine; highly oxygen-sensitive products should skip the window.
- NOTfor liquids or wet products. Rice paper pouches are for dry goods — coffee, tea, nuts, snacks, powders. For juice, puree, or sauces, use spout pouches instead.
