Pinch & Slide: How Child-Resistant Locks Work
For small brands making botanical supplements, herbal teas, or custom organic wellness treats, child-resistant packaging is not just a nice-to-have—it is often a legal requirement. Accidental ingestion by curious toddlers can be a nightmare for parents and a severe liability for your startup.
Easy for adults, impossible for kids under five.
Our child-resistant pouches use certified push-to-open and pinch-and-slide locking tracks. This dual-action mechanism requires an intentional press-and-pull movement. While it's simple and stress-free for adult hands, children under 5 lack the cognitive coordination to squeeze and slide simultaneously.
Certified U.S. 16 CFR 1700 Safety Standards
All closures are certified and rigorously tested by third-party laboratories. When you choose Pouch.eco, you receive full compliance certificates so you can list on major marketplaces (Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify) without the fear of product compliance takedowns.
Odor Control & Moisture Defense
Sensitive organic products, potent botanical oils, and dried herbal blends react strongly to environmental factors. Without a heavy barrier, oxygen, moisture, and light will quickly degrade active ingredients, dampening scent and reducing potency.
Premium Odor-Locking Composites
Our bags use high-barrier Mylar and PET layers that completely contain strong aromas. Whether it's bath salts, dried supplements, or organic gummies, no smell escapes the sealed pouch.
- 100% Odor Block: Keep smells locked inside the pouch, perfect for high-potency products.
- Moisture & Light Shield: Thick aluminum or metalized layers keep damp air and UV rays out.
- Tamper-Evident Heat Seals: Easy-tear notches allow consumers to quickly pull open the sealed top.
DTC Agility: Low MOQs & Multi-SKU Flexibility
For artisanal brands launching a new product line, high B2B order requirements are a barrier. Traditional plate printing demands 5,000+ units per SKU. If you have 5 different scents or supplement flavors, you'd need to order 25,000 bags—a massive capital risk for a launch.
Our 500-Unit Multi-SKU Hack
We leverage modern high-resolution digital printing to offer ultra-low MOQs. You can start with just 1,000 total pouches, and split that volume across multiple unique flavor or scent designs (e.g. 5 designs x 200 bags). Plus, there are absolutely zero cylinder plate fees.

Eco-Friendly Child Safety: Recyclable & Compostable Options
For conscious consumers, plastic packaging is a major turn-off. We bridge the gap between safety compliance and deep sustainability by engineering high-performance recyclable PE and certified compostable Kraft paper options.

AchievePack Eco Material Specifications
Direct-Factory Certified Sustainable Laminates
AchievePack designs and manufactures five classes of circular flexible barrier packaging materials. These options help brand owners meet regulatory standards (like EU PPWR and state-level laws) without sacrificing barrier performance or shelf-life.
1. Curbside Recyclable Mono-PE
Made from 100% Polyethylene (LDPE #4). This single-polymer structure is fully recyclable through European/UK curbside collection and USA Store Drop-Off networks. Optional EVOH coatings (<5% total weight) deliver extreme oxygen and moisture barriers without compromising the recycling stream.
2. Heat-Resistant Recyclable Mono-PP
Formulated from single-polymer Polypropylene (PP #5), providing excellent optical clarity, high rigidity, and thermal tolerance. Engineered specifically to survive hot-fill processes, pasteurization, retort cooking, and microwave sterilization lines.
3. Certified Compostable Biopolymers
Constructed from plant-derived biopolymers including natural Kraft paper, NatureFlex cellulose, and certified PLA/PBAT/PHA sealable blends. Extensively tested and certified under ASTM D6400 (USA) and EN 13432 (EU) to degrade into organic soil nutrients within 180 days.
4. PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Polymers
Integrates GRS-certified post-consumer recycled plastic resins into the laminate structure. Helps brands reduce dependence on virgin fossil resources, lower carbon footprints, and completely bypass plastic packaging taxes in global regions.
5. Carbon-Negative Sugarcane Bio-PE
Sourced from sugarcane bio-PE that acts exactly like petroleum PE. Captures atmospheric CO₂ during sugarcane growth, delivering carbon-negative performance while remaining 100% recyclable in standard PE sorting streams (#4).
Technical Factory Validation & Quality Control
We don't just supply pouches; we validate every batch. Every raw material and finished pouch runs through our 6-step testing protocol to guarantee automatic packaging line compatibility and food-safe barrier preservation.
OTR & WVTR Barrier (MOCON)
Tested under ASTM D3985 & ASTM F1249 to ensure fresh shelf life up to 18 months.
GC-MS Solvent Residue
Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry ensures zero odor transfer and absolute food safety.
Heat Seal Strength (ASTM F88)
Guarantees no seam burst under high pressure, perfect for VFFS automatic packing lines.
BRCGS Global Standard
Produced in Class 100,000 dust-free cleanrooms, ensuring zero contamination.
Puncture Resistance (ASTM F1306)
Prevents tear or puncture from sharp, hard items like coffee beans and pet kibble.
Tensile Strength (ASTM D882)
Ensures shape retention and structural integrity when heavy bags are dropped or stacked.
